Islington House

Norton Ellis Architects have recently added a roof terrace to a Georgian House in Islington, North London. The works also included a complete refurbishment with a new open plan kitchen diner at garden level, new bathrooms, bespoke joinery to the bedrooms and a new staircase to the roof.

All the windows were replaced with new double glazed double sash windows to meet Conservation Area requirements, this also included new folding timber shutters for privacy and security.

The master bedroom suite on the top floor includes an ensuite bathroom top lit with a new roof light, built in wardrobes clad in leather to soften the acoustics and a study.

The new roof terrace is accessed by an electrically operated sliding rooflight and has glass balustrades to maximise the view of the City of London to the south.
