HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco views Norton Ellis Architect’s work at the Monaco Yacht Club

We recently took part in the Monaco Marina Management’s 2023 ideas competition for a sustainable sailing club in St Jean Cap Ferat.

Our entry which concentrated on using sustainable low carbon materials such as locally sourced timber and stone for walls and foundations. The design also utilised passive technologies such as stack ventilation and solar shading combined with a sea water heat pump, solar panels and grey water recycling.

Our submission was exhibited at the Monaco Smart and Sustainable Marina Rendezvous at Monaco Yacht Club. The event was attended by HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco, pictured here in front of our work.
